What you'll do
- Manage end-to-end recruitment coordination — job postings, screening, scheduling, and candidate communication
- Own onboarding for new hires and ensure a smooth start experience
- Maintain HR records, contracts, and people data with accuracy and confidentiality
- Support team engagement initiatives and help build remote-first culture
- Handle HR operations including leave management, policy updates, and compliance
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of HR experience, ideally in a tech startup or remote-first company
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to process and detail
- Familiarity with HR tools and ATS platforms
- Comfortable navigating the nuances of a distributed, async team
Nice to have
- Experience hiring technical roles (engineers, researchers, writers)
- Understanding of Indian employment law and contractor arrangements
- Experience building or improving HR processes from scratch
