From Brief to Production AI Storage Platform — in Four Months

A complete AI-powered storage platform shipped across Windows, iOS, Linux, and Web — with bidirectional cloud sync, multi-OS clients, and enterprise RBAC — in four months flat.

The Challenge

A client came to Superteams with a clear product vision and a hard deadline: build a complete AI-powered storage platform in four months. Not a prototype — a production system, shipped across every major platform simultaneously.

Greenfield complexity — No existing codebase, no infrastructure, no team in place. The clock started at zero.

Multi-platform scope — The platform needed a Windows installer, a native iOS app, a Linux ISO, and a full web interface. Each client required device-level storage access and native OS integration. Doing one of these well in four months is a tight sprint. Doing all four simultaneously required embedded teams that could move in parallel without coordination drag.

Bidirectional cloud sync — Files needed to sync between device storage and cloud with conflict resolution, delta transfers, and consistent state across client types. This wasn’t file hosting — it was a full sync engine.

Enterprise-grade access control — The platform had enterprise buyers, which meant org-level RBAC, user provisioning, and role hierarchies needed to be production-grade from the first release.

The Solution

Superteams embedded a cross-functional AI team — product, backend, mobile, and infrastructure — and scoped the build in week one.

Parallel platform development — iOS, Windows, Linux, and web tracks ran simultaneously. Each was staffed with specialists who owned their surface end-to-end, eliminating the coordination overhead that kills multi-platform sprints.

Sync engine architecture — Built a conflict-resolution sync engine that handles delta transfers, offline queues, and consistent state reconciliation across all four clients. Files modified on Windows propagate correctly to iOS and web — and back.

AI storage layer — Integrated an AI layer that powers intelligent file organization, semantic search across stored content, and usage-aware storage tiering. Users interact with their files through natural language alongside traditional file browsing.

RBAC and user management — Designed and shipped a full org management layer: team workspaces, role-based permissions, admin provisioning flows, and audit logging — everything an enterprise buyer needs on day one.

Results

The platform shipped to production in four months across all four clients simultaneously. Zero legacy debt. The client launched with a production-grade AI storage product that would have taken 18+ months to staff and ship through traditional hiring.

“Superteams embedded, scoped, and shipped the full product in four months — zero to production across every platform simultaneously.”

The engagement saved the client over $100K in estimated hiring costs and compressed their time-to-market by over a year.
